Whether you’re local to the area or considering Croydon as the place for your next move, we think (or rather we know) you’ll find that Croydon has plenty to offer. As locals ourselves, we’re always uncovering hidden gems and finding new reasons to love Croydon. Here are just a few of our favourites.
It’s very well connected
Whether you commute daily into London, head regularly to Gatwick airport or fancy popping down to the coast on the weekend then you are perfectly positioned in Croydon. You can reach major London stations within 20 minutes from East Croydon or tuck into some fish and chips on Brighton beach in less than 45 minutes. With tram connections to Wimbledon, Beckenham and iconic IKEA the world of CR0 and beyond is your oyster.
There’s always something on
From heritage festivals to theatre performances to village fetes, there’s always something going on in Croydon. Croydon Clocktower is always worth a visit with its exhibitions and festivals and there’s often something on at Lloyd Park (even if you just fancy joining in the park run!).
It’s one for the foodies
With the recent addition of Box Park alongside the Restaurant Quarter and Surrey street market, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to food. Whether you want to brunch with friends, enjoy a Saturday night drink or choose some tasty vegetables from the market then Croydon won’t disappoint.
It’s ideal for family life
The boroughs of Croydon are packed with great places to raise a family. Purley, Sanderstead, Warlingham and Selsdon are just a few examples of locations with good schools, parks and communities where you can happily settle with your family.
There are lots of green spaces
Whilst Croydon is known for its proximity to London, it is also packed with, and is very close to, lots of green spaces. If you’re looking for somewhere to get some fresh air you’ll find parks, woodland, golf clubs, gardens and nature walks aplenty across the boroughs of Croydon. Wettern Tree Garden in South Croydon is one hidden gem we would recommend to our clients.
